Does your child have bumps on their cheeks, upper thighs or arms?

As children grow they can develop a skin condition called Keratosis Pilaris. This is a harmless hereditary condition that looks like small, rough, white, or reddish bumps or patches that can occur on the backs of the upper arms, thighs, and cheeks. It is caused by a build-up of a skin protein called keratin 🤯 While this condition cannot be cured it can be treated so that it is less visible. It is important to keep the outer layers of the skin hydrated. Soak the area with a warm cloth and apply a Janesce Facial Aromatic Oil or EC Lotion B. It can also be beneficial to use the Janesce Gentle Enzyme Peel once a week on the affected area to help dissolve the keratin plugs. Image by Caroline Hermandez
